On Easter morning, Granny was back in California welcoming baby Avery into the family! But the Easter Bunny left goodies outside the door for Ellie and Kevin.
Grandpa hid eggs for Ellie's hunt in the front yard, and then he took us to Luby's!! Ellie loved the jello and macaroni & cheese! She wasn't in the most cooperative mood at first (the theme of the weekend). I took her over to the corner and explained that Grandpa doesn't take little girls to lunch very often, and he expects them to behave themselves. I said that with even one more misbehavior she was going to need to go sit in the car for some time to think about it. We returned to the table, and she was very well-behaved for the rest of the lunch! She really loves Grandpa and doesn't like to disappoint him! I think she's secretly afraid he'll quit making her pancakes!
A few hours later, Grandma came to drive us to our next destination!

You went to LUBY'S??! AND had their mac and cheese?! AND their Jell-O (please say it was green, the best cafeteria kind, of course)!!
I am so unbelievably jealous!!! Why don't we have one out here??
When we were in Dallas, we didn't make it to Luby's but DID hit up the Highland Park Cafeteria. Twice.
When y'all move, you must go there for their zucchini nut muffins...never has a tastier bread been concocted!
