Christmas Eve

We had Christmas Eve with Chris's family at Uncle Ross's in Mill Valley. Kevin was Santa for the evening! The kids enjoyed dinner at the "kiddie table" and watched Aladin shortly after as the adults ate dinner - Todd's famous French Onion soup and crab from the San Francisco Bay. Tim enjoyed his "night-night" gift - adult-sized footed PJs, or a "snood" as Chris's family would say. Next, we sang Christmas carols and soon left for home. Not long after we drove away, Ellie and Kevin fell fast asleep, dreams of sugar plums dancing in their heads!

Update on Laguna

I had to post one more time about our trip to Laguna Beach. My friend Sara thought the landscape pics were pictures of our "view". I had requested an ocean view, and the lady told me over the phone that this would be the best unit for an ocean view... Can you see the ocean? It's just over the trees, across the four-lane street, behind the big parking lot, over the black construction fence. It's breathtaking, really. :-)

Trip to Laguna Beach

We went to Laguna Beach for a quick pre-Christmas trip! We played on a beachfront playground (with a real sandpit!!), met with Santa, and tried to have a picnic. I say "tried" because as soon as we pulled out the sandwiches, the birds ATTACKED! Only one seagul noticed us first. He flew right in front of us, stood there staring at us, and the began to squawk over and over again. The other birds quickly took note and came flying over. But they were not as patient as the first bird. We thought they were going to take the sandwiches right out of our hands! They were very aggressive. Even as we put the sandwiches away and began to leave, the birds kept chasing us and trying to get into our bags. Kevin thought it was really funny. He laughed and laughed at the birds!

Mother-Son Weekend!

Last weekend, I was able to take a vacation to Texas to spend time with some of my friends! I call it a mother-son weekend because Kevin came with me! It was easy having just one child!! I enjoyed spending so much time with Kevin.

I had a really great time catching up with friends. Shannon found a great house with huge windows overlooking the ocean. It was so relaxing!

Intramural Champions!!

Chris led his co-ed intramural team to victory in the championship! He was the team captain and the quaterback! Reliving the glory days!!

First Noel Pageant

One of our friends put on a "First Noel" pageant. Ellie was an angel, and Kevin was cow. The pageant was really a great idea. The kids dressed in homemade, SIMPLE costumes. The narrator read from Luke, and the adults sang Christmas carols. And it's always great when you get another chance to use the Halloween costume!
